Depending on its emotional intensity, a relationship can create its very own and unique spirit, an entity of its own that remains even if two lovers have long since parted ways.

Right after a separation, one can still sense and feel this spirit: two people had created something that turned out to become greater, more beautiful and more luminous than each one of them could have been on their own.

But when two lovers part, the energy source for their spirit extinguishes, thus these spirits turn into ghosts that become weaker and weaker over time until they dissolve with one last dance among the stars into the darkness of a midwinter’s night.

We should never dismiss these ghosts with melancholy, remorse or even anger, but with gratitude for all those bodacious moments we were allowed to share, because one day we will create a spirit that will last forever -- and that is what „Ghosts“ is all about.
